How far can you go in The Eagle?
The Eagle is set in Britannia in the second century AD, where two men, a soldier and a slave, go beyond the frontiers of the known Roman world to recover family honour. This is how the story starts in The Eagle, an epic adventure of Romans, produced by Duncan Kenworthy, and based on the book The Eagle of the Ninth Legion.
Marco Aquila has been trained to become a brilliant soldier and is in charge of a small fort in the south east of the island, where he has proved his bravery during the siege. Obsessed with returning the emblem of the The Ninth Legion, lost along with his father, to his village, Marco Aquila gives us all a lesson in bravery, honour and friendship in a world of Romans, Celts and Britains fighting for supremacy.
